Private Tours

A standard private tour lasts for approximately two (2) or three (2) hours. We offer the option of adding "overtime" (either same-day or booked in advance) for those who'd like to enjoy an extended tour. Same-day overtime is subject to guide availability.

Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult. There is no charge for children under the age of 8. Please limit your group to two (2) non-paying children per paying customer.

Maximum of ten (10) people per private tour. Total number includes any non-paying children under the age of 8.

Post-tour restaurant recommendations can be made upon request. If you choose this option, your tour will be designed to end in a location convenient to the restaurant.

Seek New York LLC is not responsible for items lost or stolen during a tour.

Public Tours

Please bring a printout of your confirmation e-mail as proof of purchase. You may be asked to provide identification matching the name on your PayPal account.

Tour length may vary based on number of tour participants.

Session fee includes the services of a licensed NYC Sightseeing Guide. Shopping purchases,
MetroCard/cab fare (for tours with stops in multiple neighborhoods), transportation to the meeting location, and gratuity are not included in the price of the tour.

All public tour tickets are final sale. With the exception of company-initiated cancellations, Seek New York LLC does not offer returns or exchanges on public tours.

Styling & Shopping

Any styling client under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. There is no charge for the adult guardian.

Please come dressed appropriately for your session. For fitting purposes, wear suitable undergarments and avoid clothing that is difficult to get in or out of. Wear comfortable shoes. Women should bring a pair of heels if they plan to try on pants, dresses, or skirts.

Session fee includes the services of a personal stylist. Shopping transportation and gratuity are not included. Customer is responsible for all clothing purchases.

Hours

All services are available seven days a week, including morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. Although we're happy to accommodate your schedule, we will suggest the best day and time for your appointment or tour. As professional shoppers, we know which stores are emptiest first thing in the morning, and which are best visited in the afternoon. Also, keep in mind that different stores maintain different hours (some close early, some are only open specific days of the week, etc.) All of these factors will be taken into consideration when scheduling your session.

Please note that
we do not offer tours or services on July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day, as most stores are closed on these holidays. Additionally, we do not offer tours or services on Black Friday or Christmas Eve, as we've found that excessive crowds make for a less-than-enjoyable experience on these peak shopping days.

Tours:
January - March: 10 AM - 5 PM (latest tour begins at 2 PM)
April - December: 9 AM - 9 PM (latest tour begins at 6 PM)

Shopping and Styling Appointments:

10 AM - 9 PM (latest appointment begins at 6:30 PM)

On-Set Styling & Special Events:
We will make every effort to accommodate the timeframe of your special event. Please note that a $100 surcharge will be added for events where stylist is required to be present before 8 AM or after 11 PM.

Payment

Secure payment via PayPal (credit card, debit card, or e-check) is preferred. You can also call us if you would rather give a credit card number over the phone. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

Checks and money orders are also accepted, but must be received and cleared at least one week prior to commencement of services. We
highly recommend paying your initial deposit with PayPal or credit card, as we cannot confirm or hold your spot until this payment has cleared.

Please note that
all international payments must be processed via PayPal.

For private tours:
Upon booking a tour, a $100 deposit is required to hold your spot. (For groups of 11+ people scheduling multiple tours within a 5-day window, a $100 deposit is required for each tour.) The balance is due 24 hours prior to commencement of your tour. (Please note that as of November 2012, all tours booked less than two weeks in advance or totaling less than $200 will be billed in full.) Any same-day overtime you wish to add is payable via cash or credit card, with payment due at the beginning of the overtime hours.

For shopping and styling services where the client is present:
Upon booking a shopping or styling session, a $100 deposit is required to hold your spot. The balance for an agreed-upon number of hours (minimum 2-hour commitment; maximum 8 hours/day) is due 24 hours prior to commencement of services. (Please note that as of November 2012, all appointments booked less than two weeks in advance or totaling less than $200 will be billed in full.) Any additional hours you wish to add may be paid via cash or credit card, with payment due prior to beginning of extra shopping time.

For shopping and styling services where the client is not present:
Based on your individual requirements, we will estimate the number of hours necessary to complete your job. Payment for agreed-upon number of estimated hours is due upon booking of services. You will be contacted to authorize any hours of additional work, with overtime payment due prior to delivery of goods.

For custom costume design and construction:
We will provide a flat-rate quote for labor. Quote is based on your project requirements, with 50% payment and materials deposit due upon booking of services. (Please note that
projects booked less than two weeks in advance or totaling less than $200 will be billed in full). Balance for labor and materials must be paid for prior to release of finished costume(s). Out-of-town clients are responsible for all applicable shipping charges.

If your project requires advance sketching, swatching, or sample making in order to make a decision, we will take your credit card information prior to beginning work. These expenses will be built into the cost of the costume,
unless you change your mind or decide not to move forward after receiving swatches or samples. In this case, your card will be charged for the labor and/or materials associated with this work.

Tipping Policy

Tipping your stylist or guide is not required but is very much appreciated if you feel that you have received exemplary service.

Cancellation

Cancellation is required at least 48 hours in advance of scheduled appointment or tour. For cancellations less than 48 hours before scheduled appointment, a $100 cancellation fee (your initial deposit) will apply. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice can also be rescheduled.

Seek New York LLC reserves the right to cancel an appointment due to severe weather or other extenuating circumstances. Customers affected by such a cancellation may opt to reschedule their appointment or receive a full refund.

All public tour tickets are considered final sale. With the exception of company-initiated cancellations, Seek New York LLC does not offer returns or exchanges on public tours.

No-Show Policy

We value your time, and expect you to value ours. If you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment (and do not call in advance to cancel) you will be charged a $100 no-show fee.
Seek New York LLC reserves the right deny rescheduling requests for a no-show appointment.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are available in any denomination, and can be used toward the purchase of any of the tours or services offered by Seek New York LLC.
